I can't believe that I am emailing again already...:)
This week has been a blur, but lots of fun and hard work... it has been super hot this past week, like in
Cabanatuan last week it hit 52º Celcius(i'll let you look that one up on how hot that is Farenheit, its high talaga!) (It is 125.6 degrees fahrenheit!!!) Cabanatuan is like 20 minutes away from my area by jeepney, and the members also said that it broke the record for the hottest day in Cabanatuan, which is also the hottest city in the Philippines. So lets just say we were ROASTED:) We would walk out the door with our umbrellas so we don't die of heat;) then within like 10 seconds we are basically drenched in sweat... haha life in the Philippines in the summer!!!
On Saturday before we went to Gabaldon for a baptismal interview, our district president called us and told us he had a referral that he wanted us to meet. So he came and picked us up in a car(thats always a treat:) I can probably count the times i've ridden in a car on both hands for my whole mission) but anyways he brought us to meet brother Joseph Clase. We talked to him and he told us that he knows there are a lot of churches, but he feels that they are all wrong, that they teach false doctrine. He told us he has a LOT of questions for us, and we set an appointment for this wednesday:) We are super PUMPED to teach him and his family!!! Its always the best when people have lots of questions, it makes teaching so much more fun!!
We also had an AWESOME lesson yesterday with the Ilagan family, we shared with them about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, and they were actually super excited to read it, they hadn't realized but they had a Book of Mormon on their bookshelf, so they pulled it out way back from when sister was a teenager, it was so cool to meet and teach such a receptive family!!! Hopefully everything works out with them gaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Its amazing what can change with the Book of Mormon, our mission here is really focusing on it, we are doing all we can to help people change their lives through studying it.
Happy April 15th ya'll!!!
Love, Elder Alldredge
